Young flu blues

(HealthDayNews) -- If your child is laid up with the flu, soothe her discomfort with these tips:

                            Encourage her to drink lots of fluids, suck on ice pops or eat soft fruits to keep hydrated.

                            Entice her to stay in bed by supplying magazines, books, and if possible, her favorite videos.

                            Give acetaminophen for aches and pains.

                            Dress your child in layers, so she can peel one off when she's feeling warm or add one back when she feels chilly.
