  Is the clinic only for Chinese?

    The Beijing International Medical Center-Beijing welcomes people of all nationalities. We not only provide medical services to locals, but also to the foreign community including, individuals, families, companies, embassies, and non-profit organizations in Beijing. We are open 24 hours a day to take care of you and your family's healthcare needs.

  Do I have to be a member of the clinic to use the services?

    You do not have to be a member to use Clinic services. We offer membership plans as an opportunity for patients to receive additional benefits when using the Clinic.

  What is the capacity of the clinic?

    The capacity of the International Medical Center-Beijing is about 10,000sq feet, including seven consultation rooms, a trauma room, two observation rooms, a full laboratory, a pharmacy offering over 600 typeset imported medication and wide range of vaccines, an X-ray room, an ultrasound room, cardiac examination room and four dental surgery rooms.

   Do staff members speek English?

    All medical, nursing, and administrative staff generally conduct services in English. The following languages are also spoken French, German, Swedish, Norwegian, Farsi, Arabic, Japanese and Chinese.

   Where are the doctors from?

    The clinic has physicians from foreign countries who have completed their licensing examination and legal requirements, as set-forth by the Beijing Ministry of Public Health for foreign physicians to practice medicine in China. In addition, the staff includes a number of Chinese physicians who are fluent in English and who have extensive experience in patient care and emergency and trauma care from Beijing 's leading hospitals. We take pride in our international medical team who are capable of managing all types of medical situations from a common cold to serious emergencies, all with multi-lingual backgrounds. We are able to build strong ties and great confidence with expatriates of all nationalities.

  How does insurance direct-billing work? 

    IMC submits your bill to your insurance company directly for payment. You only need to sign the claim form at the time of your visit and provide a credit card guarantee. Depending on the coverage of your policy, your entire bill may not be covered due to deductibles, co-pays, restrictions, etc. When the payment arrives, IMC will contact you to inform you if there are any remaining balances not covered by insurance.

  Why a credit card authorization?

    As insurance payments can take up to three months to arrive, we require a guarantee of payment to avoid any unpaid bills. Credit card details are stored in your medical file and are kept strictly confidential. This guarantee is a requirement of our free direct-billing service. Alternatively, medical bills can be paid at the time of service and our insurance department can help you complete the necessary forms for direct reimbursement.

  What if my insurance company is not on your list?

    If your insurance provider is not on our list , we cannot provide direct-billing for you at this time. However, we are constantly adding new providers and we encourage you to contact our insurance department if you would like us to arrange this service for your insurance provider.

  What if I don't have insurance?

     In this case, you should directly pay your medical expenses at the time of your services. We accept local & foreign currency's cash payment, as well as checks, MasterCard, Visa, and American Express.
